Validating Your Sender Domain

How to set up your domain for better email delivery

Validating your domain improves email deliverability and security. This process lets us send emails from your domain on your behalf.

What is DNS?

DNS (Domain Name System) connects domain names like "www.example.com" to IP addresses that computers use to identify each other. It's like a phone book for the internet. Validating your DNS settings helps emails get sent from a known server, which boosts deliverability and security.

Steps to Validate Your Domain

  1. Log in to your domain's DNS hosting provider.
  2. Navigate to the DNS management section.
  3. Add the displayed DNS records.
  4. Click Validate.

Note: This can take a few minutes. If you see an X in the status column after clicking validate, wait a bit and try again.

Troubleshooting Domain Validation

If you run into problems, here are some common issues and fixes:

  • Wrong DNS Records: Check that the DNS records you added match exactly what's required.

  • Slow Updates: DNS changes can take from a few minutes to 48 hours to spread across the internet. If your records aren't validating, waiting longer might fix it.

  • Provider Rules: Some DNS providers have their own special settings. Check your provider's help docs or support if you're stuck.

  • Ask for Help: If nothing works, contact our support team.
