The Manage Banned Users feature is here to help you keep your community a welcoming and positive space by allowing you to block users who may disrupt the conversation with inappropriate comments.
When to use
- A user repeatedly violates community guidelines
- You need to prevent spam accounts from posting
- You want to review or modify your list of banned users
How it works
When you ban a user, they are prevented from leaving comments on any posts within your community. You can ban users by their username or email address, and you can also unban users if needed.
Step by step
- Log into your Single account
- Navigate to Posts > Settings from the left sidebar
- Go to the Manage Banned Users section
- To ban a user:
- Click the "Ban User" button
- Enter the name or email of the user
- Click "Confirm"
- To unban a user:
- Find the user in your list of banned users
- Click the "Unban" button next to their name
- Confirm the action when prompted
What's next
After managing your banned users:
- Regularly review your list of banned users
- Consider creating a clear policy on when and why users may be banned
- Monitor the effectiveness of bans in reducing unwanted behavior in your community
