How to Hide the Release Date of Scheduled Tracks in Your Shopify Store
With Single's Confidential Release feature, you can make sure your fans don't find out the release date until you're ready to share it. When you enable this option, the release date stays hidden in all communications. Here's how to set it up.
Tip: Enabling this prevents the initial "Your Download Expected" email. Customers will only receive a delivery email upon album release
Steps
- Log in to your Single account.
- Navigate to Music > Digital Delivery from the left side bar. You'll have the option to either create a new digital release or work with an existing one. Afterward, you can easily navigate to the Scheduling section.
- Look for the Confidential Release switch and toggle it on.
What Do Fans See?
After purchasing, fans will receive a confirmation email from Shopify, but it won't have any information about the release date. If you’re giving fans some tracks early (we call these "instant grat tracks"), these won't show the release date either.
