Create Members-Only Discounts

Learn how to create an exclusive, store-wide discount for your members using Shopify. This step-by-step guide will show you how to set up an ongoing discount that rewards your current members and encourages new sign-ups.

Note: If you haven’t yet created a customer segment for your members, you will need to do that first. See this article to learn how.

Log into your Shopify admin
Go to Discounts
Click Create discount
Choose Amount off order
For Method, choose Discount Code
Name your Discount Code (e.g., 'GoldTierStorewideDiscount')
Set discount value and minimum purchase requirements
In Customer eligibility:
- Choose Specific customer segments
- Select the segment for your membership tier
Set additional rules (optional):
- Maximum discount uses
- Combinations
Set start date to today and leave end date blank
Click Save

Remember: Only active, logged-in members can use the code, so you can publish it anywhere
